Samantha is currently the store manager of Lammermoor Convenience Centre Pty Ltd, which is owned and operated by her family. This is her first retail endeavour, with previous experience in the exploration industry, construction, aged care and property. Sam is a long-term local and enjoys everything that this area has to offer, from camping to 4WD driving, fishing and the islands. Sam is excited to be on our team and hopes to create more connections within the local community and build on existing relationships.

Amanda threw herself into full-time work after she left high school and commenced with The Capricornian nearly 10 years ago. Starting as a trainee, Amanda has gained experience as a cashier, a call centre consultant, a financial planning paraplanner and now enjoys her role as branch manager of Yeppoon. Amanda is a proud local, having lived her entire life in Yeppoon. She is community orientated and is passionate about what the Capricorn Coast has to offer. This passion has led her to be part of the Busi Women committee and gives her the opportunity to work with successful women in the region.

Deb Friel

Deb Friel is the director of the Centre for Professional Development at CQUniversity and is a registered nurse with many years’ experience in critical care (ICU) and organ and tissue donation. She completed her nursing training in Townsville and moved to Rockhampton, where she completed a degree in health science and then gained postgraduate qualifications in management, critical care and tertiary education. Deb lives in Yeppoon with her partner and two children and takes time to enjoy what life brings in the local community. Working with Busi Women provides an opportunity to be a part of a dynamic network of women.

Brooke Kos

Brooke moved to Yeppoon from Melbourne three years ago and is now manager and travel consultant at Flight Centre in Yeppoon. In her current role, Brooke is heavily engaged in and enjoys being part of local community events. Brooke loves her work and helping people turn their travel dreams into reality. She joined Busi Women for the networking opportunities and to build on her community links. “I hope I can give back to this group and the community the way it has helped me and many others,” she said. “Busi Women Inc really does have something special going on.”
